Another Wrong-Way Driver on I-275

On the evening of Friday, February 21, 2014, just a little over a week after a first wrong-way collision on the I-275, a second driver drove the wrong direction heading north and collided with a rental box truck. Just past Busch Boulevard, the driver of the wrong-way vehicle turned around on the interstate and began to speed north. Multiple 911 calls described the scene, indicating that a driver was heading into oncoming traffic and collided with an Enterprise rental truck just north of Bearss Avenue. The driver and passenger of the rental truck appeared uninjured, but the wrong-way driver was pronounced dead on the scene.

While wrong-way crashes are not always common, it is clear to see that they do occur. With two like-crashes in recent weeks, the media and the Tampa public have been made more aware of the dangers of wrong-way driving. If you happen to have been injured in a wrong-way collision, or a loved one has been killed by a reckless driver, you need to work with an attorney.
