100-Year-Old Man Causes Traffic Collision

One man is in serious condition after his motorcycle was struck by a 100-year-old driver, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office. The accident took place yesterday around 3:22 p.m. when the 2003 Buick Century, driven by the elderly driver, made a left-hand turn on northbound U.S. 41. His vehicle crossed paths with a motorcycle, carrying the 22-year-old injury victim. The man on the motorcycle was not wearing a helmet and was thrown from his motorcycle at the time of the collision, according to authorities at the scene of the crash. While the elderly man had minor injuries, the motorcyclist was taken to the hospital and is currently in critical condition. While no charges have been filed, an investigation is currently being conducted.
