Tampa Bay Pitcher Sued $5 Million for DUI Accident

Former Tampa Bay Rays pitcher Matt Bush has recently been arrested for his third DUI after causing an accident resulting in serious bodily injury to a 72-year-old motorcyclist, according to Florida Highway Patrol. A lawsuit that was filed against the former pitcher seeks $5 million in damages caused to the motorcyclist, including physical injuries, property damage, and pain and suffering. The accident took place when Bush was driving on a suspended license in a borrowed SUV when he struck the motorcyclist, who is still in the hospital recovering from his injuries. The motorcyclist suffered an array of catastrophic injuries, including 10 broken ribs, a punctured lung, and a broken back, among other injuries that were not included in the initial report. According to reports, the lawsuit also names the owner of the SUV at fault for the accident as well.
