20-Year-Old Man Killed in Motorcycle Accident

Wednesday, January 29, a 20-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a crash with a car on State Road 54 in Wesley Chapel, reports the Tampa Tribune. The collision occurred in the morning, when the motorcyclist approached an intersection in a westbound lane, and a Mazda approached that same intersection in an eastbound lane. The 22-year-old driver of the Mazda stopped at the intersection to let a van in the westbound lane through.

The driver then made a left turn, but made it right in front of the motorcyclist, who crashed into the side of the Mazda. The motorcyclist was thrown into the street, and despite wearing a helmet, he suffered fatal injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver was not hurt in the collision. The highway patrol's report indicates that charges will be filed for the accident.

Recover Damages For Motorcycle Accident Victims

Tragically, all it takes is one irresponsible driver on the road to cause a devastating accident, one where the innocent motorists often suffer far worse than the driver who is at fault. Especially when it comes to motorcycle accidents, it is too often that another driver fails to notice a motorcyclist before they change lanes or make a turn. Without a windshield, without a seat belt, and without a metal frame to take the brunt of the impact with the two-ton vehicle hurtling toward them, motorcyclists often suffer debilitating, even life-threatening injuries.

If you or a loved one have suffered from a motorcycle accident, then on top of all the difficulties you are coping with, you may be faced with towering medical expenses, lost income, and more. While there is no compensation that can undo a tragic accident, getting a fair amount in compensation can enable individuals and families to overcome the financial burdens that have been thrust on them.
